This vintage book was just rescued from an old, abandoned auto garage. The cover pictures a Native American Indian, and reads: "PONTIAC...PARTS PRICE LIST...WHOLESALE EDITION." Inside, it is marked: "The coverage of this Catalog has been confined to the ten year period from 1937 thru 1947." It has a card stock cover, like a paperback book. It measures 8 & 1/2 by 11 inches, and has 234 pages. It has dozens of diagrams and illustrations showing thousands of parts and how they fit together. Toward the front, it has a "G.M. TELEGRAPHIC CODE" for ordering parts via telegraph. (Since you paid for telegraphs by the word, the code uses abbreviations to save the buyer money.) The BAD news is that the book is in overall POOR condition. The front and back covers are faded and badly moisture stained. The cloth binding is worn, and starting to pull away from the spine. The GOOD news, is that it is not too bad INSIDE. Most pages inside have some moisture stains, but the illustrations and printed text are clear and easy to read. I have inspected every page. There is no writing inside, and no loose, torn or missing pages. For the most part, the interior of the book is still fairly nice. This is a great original old book, but because of the damage to the covers, it is probably not be for the condition freak.
