This item
consists of one nearly complete set of vintage Ideal race track, less its battery operated cars. It was not mine when I was a kid. I got it in a trade about twenty years ago. I have questions about it but its original owner can't be reached. For instance, did the original set contain the fourteen pieces of 1/4" Masonite that are pre-drilled to accommodate the track's tabs? One measures 13 x 16", another 9 x 11", and a third 8 x 9". There are eleven 4 x 4". Likewise, I can only guess at how Ideal named each piece, so I'm going with the parts numbers embossed on the underside of each.
