There is an inperfection on the inside rim.  I have run my finger over this so many times!  It is a slight dip that is not sharp like a chip.  I can't tell if it is a manufacturing flaw, or if it is just how the item was made.
It is NOT sharp.  I tried taking a few pictures of it.  You can't really see it, you just feel the depression on the inside rim.
