from 1964.

Length:  1 3/4" Main body of motor, add 3/8" additional for overall length, see pics.
Width:  27/32".
Armature Shaft:  .092"
Brushes:  1 motor has Brush Tips are Copper Graphite, Missing Spring and spreader,  2nd motor No brushes and no magnet.
1960 info: Revell 77  As was to be expected from this well known firm, their new motor promises to enjoy great popularity and, luckily, it seems capable of withstanding years of use.
This is the larger of the two Revell units and has a 5-slot armature of 5/8ths diameter.
Brush tips are copper graphite, spring loaded.
This motor will be available in the new Revell slot cars or hobby dealers will soon be handling it separately.
Racing Motors
The first and only motors engineered exclusively for model car racing.  Built for Revell by Pittman.  Tremendous acceleration and braking characteristics, heavy-duty windings for maximum durability.  An extremely fast and dependable motor.
Two sizes:  Revell RP-66 for 1/25 Grand Prix cars and Revell RP-77 for 1/32 Gran Tourisimo cars.
My Dad owned a Hobby Shop that closed in the early 1970's, and he kept some of the more interesting slot cars and accessories from that era.  The items I am listing are in most cases, near new or gently used.  I have taken many pictures to show every angle and have tried to describe all features and/or flaws to the best of my ability.  Please email with any questions specific to something I may have missed.
