(1) Brass Guide Arm Stop for all Magnesium by Cox Chassis Vintage 1960 NOS
For this listing we offer one (1) vintage 1960's original
Cox all Brass Tab used on the nose of all Magnesium In-Line & Sidewinder  Chassis to keep the drop arm and guide in the track groove.  New Old Stock.
Works for  1/32, 1/24th & 1/25th scales.
I have looked in all COX original catalogs and can not find the part number for this great item.
For This item mounts under the front adjustable nose of the chassis and above the bolt on front axle carrier.  It was designed to stop the up ward movement of the drop arm by touching the top of the pick-up brush guide, thus keeping the brush guide in the track groove. See the pictures I have included with a chassis exploded view.
These were used on Chaparral, Cheetah, Dino Ferrari, Ferrari, Ford GT, Lotus 30.
"For proper installation, place guide Arm Stop, A, in position as shown and assemble front suspension to frame as outlined in instruction booklet.  For best handling, both front tires should always touch the track and rotate.  After stop has been installed, put your car on track and check for this condition.  It may be necessary to bend the end of the stop, as shown in illustration, to arrive at proper setting.  After installing stop, and the track you are using is relatively flat, the Guide Arm Spring may be omitted.  This will let the Guide Arm drop with it's own weight and eliminate the speed reducing pressure on the track braid caused by the spring"  L.M.
